Seasonal Cleanup in Daytona Beach
We clear out the leaves, fronds and overgrowth that pile up between seasons, cut plants back the right way and leave clean bed lines behind. You get a yard that looks cared for again and plants set up to grow well into the months ahead.
A Full Reset for Your Yard, Twice a Year
A seasonal cleanup is a thorough pass through your whole yard, not a quick mow and blow. We remove what has built up, cut back what has outgrown its space and tidy the edges so your lawn and beds read clearly again.
The timing here is a little different from up north. Live oaks shed heavily in late winter and early spring, and the summer rainy season pushes shrubs and weeds into fast growth. Most of our customers schedule one cleanup in spring and another in fall, before or after hurricane season.
The details are where a cleanup earns its keep. Shrubs cut just above a healthy leaf node fill back in evenly. An edge cut cleanly along the bed line holds its shape for weeks instead of days. Those small choices decide how long the yard stays looking right after we leave.
What a Seasonal Cleanup Covers
- Leaf, frond and debris removal
- We rake and blow leaves out of beds, from under shrubs and off the lawn, along with fallen fronds, seed pods and small branches. Walks, driveways and patios get blown off before we finish.
- Shrub and hedge cutbacks
- We trim overgrown shrubs back to a healthy shape, cutting above buds and nodes so they regrow full rather than leggy. We avoid shearing flowering plants at the wrong time so you do not lose next season's blooms.
- Perennial and ornamental grass care
- Frost-bitten or spent growth on perennials and grasses gets cut back so new shoots have room and light.
- Bed weeding and edging
- Weeds come out roots and all whenever the soil allows it. After that, we cut a sharp line where the lawn meets each bed, which also slows turf from spreading into your plantings.
- Haul-away
- Every bag and pile leaves with us. Nothing gets stacked by the curb for you to deal with later.
- A quick look at what comes next
- While we work, we note things like buried sprinkler heads, thin mulch or a limb hanging over the roof. We tell you what we saw so you can decide if it needs attention.
Signs It Is Time to Clear Things Out
Beds are buried under leaves
A heavy mat of leaves traps moisture around plant stems, which draws fungus and insects. It also covers the mulch so it can no longer hold in moisture or block weeds.
Bed lines have disappeared
When grass has crept into the beds and the edges look soft and uneven, the whole yard starts to look unkempt even if the lawn is mowed.
Shrubs are blocking windows or walks
Summer growth can push hedges over paths and against your home. Cutting them back properly restores clearance and airflow.
Cold snap damage is showing
Brown, crispy leaves after a rare freeze are a sign it is time to cut back damaged growth once the cold has passed.
Storm debris is still lying around
Branches and fronds left after a summer storm can kill the grass underneath and give pests a place to settle.
How Cleanup Day Goes
- 1
A free estimate by phone and on site
On the phone, you share what you would like fixed, and we pick a time to see the property in person. We look over the beds, shrubs and debris load, then give you a clear estimate of the work.
- 2
Debris out first
On the day, we start by clearing leaves and fallen material from beds and lawn. Working from clean ground lets us see edges, plants and sprinkler heads clearly.
- 3
Cutbacks and shaping
Next we trim shrubs and cut back perennials and grasses, plant by plant. We step back and check shape as we go rather than racing through with a hedge trimmer.
- 4
Weeding, edging and final pass
We weed the beds, cut the edges and blow off every hard surface. Then everything we removed is loaded up and hauled away, and we walk you through what we did if you are home.

What Shapes the Cost of a Cleanup
Every yard is different, so we price cleanups after seeing the property. Your estimate is written out so you know exactly which tasks are included before we start. Nothing gets added on the day without asking you first.
- Size of the yard and number of beds
- More bed space means more weeding, edging and leaf removal. A small front yard and a large corner lot with wraparound beds are very different jobs.
- How much has built up
- A yard that was cleaned last season takes far less time than one with a year of leaf drop and overgrowth. Heavy weed cover in beds adds the most labor.
- Shrub count and size
- Lots of mature hedges or tall shrubs take longer to cut back carefully and produce more material to haul.
- Debris volume and disposal
- The amount of material we carry away affects the price, especially after storms or a heavy oak shed.
Seasonal Cleanup Questions
Something not covered here? (407) 499-8402
When is the best time for a seasonal cleanup here?
Spring and fall work well for most yards. A spring cleanup clears oak leaf drop and any cold damage before the growing season, and a fall cleanup tidies up after the heavy summer growth. Some customers also like a pass before hurricane season to clear loose debris.
Do you put down fresh mulch as part of the cleanup?
Mulch is a separate service, but it pairs well with a cleanup since the beds are already weeded and edged. If you would like it, we can include our mulch and beds work in the same estimate so it all happens in one visit.
Will you trim my palms and trees during the cleanup?
A standard cleanup covers shrubs, perennials and low growth we can reach from the ground. Taller trees and palms are handled through our tree trimming and removal or palm tree pruning and removal services. We are happy to quote those together if you want everything done at once.
Do I need to be home on cleanup day?
No. We only need a way into the yard, so leave side gates unlatched and let us know about any pets before the visit. If you happen to be around when we finish, we will show you the work before we pack up.
Is this different from your property cleanup service?
Yes. Seasonal cleanup is routine upkeep for a yard that is generally maintained. Property cleanup is for bigger jobs like overgrown lots or yards that have been neglected for a long stretch.
